Natureo is Spain’s first alcohol-free wine with only 0.5 percent alcohol made by Bodegas Torres for people who cannot include alcohol in their diet for health reasons, fitness concerns, or because they have to drive.

Elaboration

The experience of Bodegas Torres has made the elaboration of this pioneer wine possible. Based on an aromatic white wine of Moscatel grapes, Natureo is made through a complex and costly process of vacuum de-alcoholization. This process causes the evaporation of the alcohol of the wine, until reaching only 0.5 % alcohol while conserving the aromas, the anti-oxidants, vitamins and mineral salts of the grape, so that Natureo is missing only the alcohol.

 The result: A wine with all of its flavor, aroma, and body but with minimal alcohol. The nose stands out for floral aromas of green apples and citric peaches, while on the palate the wine is fresh and bright

Torres, a dinasty of winemakers

The origins of the Torres family in the Penedès region go back to the 17th century. Founded in 1870, the family tradition has been scrupulously respected up the present. The company has passed from generation to generation down to the present one, the fourth, represented by the President of the company Miguel A. Torres, and Vice-Presidents Juan Mª Torres and Marimar Torres. 

The fifth generation is represented by Arnau Torres Rosselló, Mireia Torres Maczassek and Miguel Torres Maczassek. The vocation for exporting wine and constant innovation have been the main efforts of this family whose wines today continue to reach 140 countries around the world.
